INFO: RMC is the Chief of the Waverley Heights Police Department, and an Aviary Delta. He studied at Yale, where he joined the Aviary, and has always worked in the police. Shortly after marrying Melody, he began to collect money for turning a blind eye to the local criminals. His position amongst the community grew in all aspects, and to date, he has not formally been suspected of corruption (while he could be informally, he hasn’t heard of anyone claiming such yet). He is not afraid to use his influence for Aviary members, as he is very calm and steady in crises. The general rule of thumb for his officers is that, if RMC doesn’t pay your work any attention, you’re fine, if he does, you’re in for a bad time. His wife has recently become involved with the Cult, and is unaware of the extent of trouble this may cause.

INFO: Belinda is a mediator and conflict is something she avoids very much. Although she is able to keep her head calm in conflict situations at work, she finds it hard to deal with it in her home and social life. Thankfully, BC has a friendly outlook and diplomatic temperament, often avoiding the development of conflict from the start. To keep peace, BC is guilty of deception, often lying to those around her instead of rousing their ire. Her general personality traits set her up for being used at work. Her fellow officers would prefer she became some sort of rape specialist to deal with crying, hysterical women, but Belinda would rather further her skills as a cop than be lumped into a stereotype. However, when required to fill such a role, she is resourceful, determined and more often than not, produces good results.

INFO: Thomas, more often referred to as Naughton, or just Tom, is a Detective Lieutenant in the local police department, and responsible for several investigations surrounding the Academy, including the Angeline Kelley homicide. He most often works with Vico Ortolani, who he trusts implicitly, and more recently, rookie, Belinda. He has a good relationship with his boss, Ronald Murray Cannon, though is not crooked like him. RMC considers him to be wasting his talents thus far. He became a father at 28, but his wife suffered post natal depression, which led to divorce several years ago, citing Naughton’s job as a major cause. He can obsess over difficult cases, which doesn’t help. Recently, he received the attentions of WHA teacher, Heather Rutter, and after a gentle push from both his friend Mark, (another teacher) and his nephew Jasper (a student at the Academy) he began dating her just before Christmas. Sometimes he cannot help but let his work issues seep into the relationship, especially when his work often leads him back to the Academy.
