The year is 2019. All three Potter children and their Weasley cousins are now Hogwarts students but aside from following their adventures, the RPG's plot also incorporates characters from crossover worlds such as Little Women, The Virgin Suicides, Chuck, Pushing Daisies, Dexter, True Blood, Weeds, Skins, 10 Things and many more. Prior knowledge of the crossover books and shows is unnecessary, as they are explained in our Crossover Characters Guide. Crossover characters can simply be treated like Original Characters by roleplayers who are unfamiliar with their personalities. All members need is a love for the Harry Potter universe, intermediate to advanced writing skills, a good attitude, and a willingness to integrate themselves into the RPG's tight-knit, friendly community.

Plot SettingThe year is 2019, two years after the Epilogue in Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows. All three Potter children and their Weasley cousins are now students at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. But it doesn't stop there. Instead of focusing entirely on Harry Potter characters, the world has been expanded, including characters from fandoms such as Dexter, Little Women, The Virgin Suicides, Chuck, Pushing Daisies, True Blood, Weeds, Skins, 10 Things and many more. This explosion of new characters has created a veritable cornucopia of new plot ideas and interactions that has never been experienced before in the world of Harry Potter.
Now, on to the main plot...
Thanks to their mutual admiration of the original Marauders based on stories narrated by Harry Potter, James Potter II (Harry and Ginny's eldest son) and his best friends at Hogwarts – Aidan Weasley (son of Charlie Weasley and Katie Bell), Liam Finnigan (son of Seamus Finnigan and Lavender Brown) and Noah Longbottom (son of Neville Longbottom and Hannah Abbott), have formed their own version of the original quartet. They call themselves the Marauders Revival (or MR for short) and aspire to have their own fair share of adventures and thrilling exploits while at school. They’ve even gone so far as to attempt to become illegal animagi, and have achieved this with the help of the Charms Professor, Marisa Coulter. Of course, unbeknownst to them, Professor Coulter had her own reasons for divulging her secrets. But that is another story altogether.
Marisa Coulter (from the 'His Dark Materials' novel trilogy) is a new professor at Hogwarts, and possibly the most charming being to ever step foot inside its walls. Of course, her outward persona is nothing more than a facade that she uses to hide the inner workings of her mind. Marisa happens to be extremely prejudiced against those of the non-human variety (e.g. werewolves, veela, vampires, centaurs, house elves, goblins, etc.), and believes that they are undeserving of the new rights, benefits and pro-non-human legislation afforded to them by the Ministry of Magic. Because of this hidden hatred, Marisa created a group to spread her beliefs and opinions with other like-minded individuals. Her secret coalition of anti-non-human wizards and witches is named The Coulter Circle (often simply referred to as ‘The Circle’ by members). They work privately and ruthlessly to get the bills of non-human rights at the Ministry abolished, and to incite hatred amongst the general public by highlighting any crimes or acts of violence against humans by non-humans. The Circle also quietly disseminates malicious information (some true, others exaggerated) about the non-human species they wish to subjugate. Marisa’s rules are strict: no one in The Coulter Circle is to display their anti-non-human sentiments publicly. In order to avoid suspicion or detection, they are to accomplish their goals covertly, while appearing to sympathise with non-human causes. When Principal Flitwick's position as Charms Professor at Hogwarts became available, Marisa saw an opportunity to shape young minds as she saw fit.
Now that she is at Hogwarts, Professor Coulter will be stirring up plenty of trouble for everyone. With students around her who share her anti-non-human ideals, Marisa is slowly gathering a personal army with which to put the non-humans in their place. In time to come, the vampires, werewolves and veela will have to unite, overcoming their disdain toward one another, in order to put a stop to The Circle's non-human agenda. Presently, however, they are hardly willing to speak to each other, let alone work together in the face of evil.
The Coulter Circle's activities intertwine with many of the other events that unfold this year, which will see the accidental creation of four extra Hallows thanks to the adventures of the Marauders Revival, who discover Death's true identity within a historical tale linked inextricably to the Forbidden Forest and Hogwarts itself. Now, add to that: the Hand of Glory, Marisa Coulter - who will do anything she can to get her hands on the Hallows, The Coulter Circle, turbulence in the Malfoy household that results in Draco nearly losing three children, a romance between a Metamorphmagus and a part-Veela, a Di Consentes wizarding wireless station takeover from an unknown broadcaster, mayhem with the countless Weasley cousins at Hogwarts, and the Department of Magical Law Enforcement's problems with their new invention - a special pensieve called the Intersect, that leads to some unforeseen and undesirable results after being stolen by 'rogue' Auror, Bryce Larkin.
All in all... a suspenseful journey ahead. Post-EpilogueIf you were wondering what happened to the young offspring introduced in the epilogue of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, they are all on Hogwarts Mish Mash - just two years older than when we last saw them. Here are a few interesting things that have happened to them since...
The original Marauders Map that Harry Potter owned has since fallen into his son, James Potter II’s, possession.
Two years ago, Harry Potter sent his children on a rather Dumbledore-esque quest (obviously having taken his cue from his old beloved Headmaster). While the scavenger hunt had supposedly been engineered as a fun way for his kids to locate their Christmas presents, the true purpose of the hunt was the journey, along which they were meant to discover the Marauders Map and the invisibility cloak without knowing they were meant to. James was the one to uncover the map in Harry’s desk, and upon realising what it was, he’d immediately stolen ‘borrowed’ it from his father without permission.
Two days later, the children found the cloak of invisibility while rummaging through a trunk in the attic that supposedly contained the final clue about their Christmas gifts (all of which turned out to be hidden in the mess under their respective beds, with a note attached: “Time to clean your rooms. Love, Dad & Mum”). Because James had already kept the Marauders Map for himself, Albus immediately laid claim to the cloak, while Lily whined long and hard about being the only one with nothing. Of course, James and Al informed her that she was simply ‘too young’ (READ: ‘We’re not giving you anything because we want stuff for ourselves.”).
However, Harry anticipated this would happen, and had Lily’s secret gift prepared. Like James and Al’s presents, it was to be something that would make her time at Hogwarts a little more interesting, and aid her in her own adventures. Just before his only daughter boarded the Hogwarts Express, he casually dropped an anvil-sized hint by muttering something about meaning to ask Nymphadora Tonks’ portrait to tell him who's been going through a certain wall the next time he saw her. “What wall?” came Lily’s response, to which Harry simply replied, “Oh, nothing. Just something between adults.”
Of course, as Harry expected, Lily’s first desire upon arriving at Hogwarts was to locate Tonks’ portrait and grill the metamorphmagus about walls till Tonks finally divulged the secret way into the Room of Requirement – a location just across the corridor from where she hung. The room has since been used by Lily and her two best friends – Ares Malfoy and Hugo Weasley, as their favourite hang out, and she has made every effort to hide it from her own brothers (particularly since the selfish jerks hadn’t shared the cloak or map with her).
The Potter children have not confessed to possessing their respective items (or in one case, room) for fear of getting into trouble with their parents. Little do they realise that Harry is well aware of what they own and know, and is quite content to feign ignorance so that he might maintain plausible deniability in the event that he should be accused of handing over items to aid in his children’s (perhaps less-than-sanctioned) exploits within the school.
At this point, you might be wondering what happened to the Deluminator and the Tales of Beedle the Bard. Upon hearing that Harry had discreetly divested himself of the map and cloak, Ron, too, felt the need to give Rose a gift that might prove useful to her at Hogwarts. Being far less discreet than Harry, however, he did not send her on a Dumbledore-esque quest to procure the Deluminator. Instead, he poked his head out of his bedroom and yelled, “ROSIE! Get over here! I’ve got something for you!”
As for the original copy of The Tales of Beedle The Bard, Hermione had long passed it on to Rose and Hugo in their childhood, to read as bedtime stories. It came into Rose’s possession first, and after she’d outgrown the fairy tales, she handed the book down to Hugo, who still keeps it to this day. While he, too, has now outgrown fairy stories, he appreciates the fact that it’s a highly valuable original book copy that Dumbledore left to his mother in his will. Owning such a significant piece of history is not something lost on either child.~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~Crossover CharactersIf you would like to import a crossover character from a television show, film or book that has not been listed in the Main & Crossover Characters Guide, please contact an Admin. There are SOME fandoms that we specifically do not wish to import on to HMM as we feel they do not fit into our vision of the RPG (banned fandoms include, but are not limited to: Twilight, Gossip Girl, 90210, High School Musical, Hannah Montana, etc.). However, in most other cases, we can definitely discuss how we can integrate your character or show/book of choice into HMM. Please respect our final decision on any requests made, thank you.
